1.The Original

The Civil Aerodrome Niederöblarn is located in Niederöblarn, about 30 kilometers east of Schladming, Styria. Operator of the airport is the Sport Union Austria. The airport has an asphalt runway with 730 meters length. The airfield is home of several flying clubs and schools.

The airport is also a starting point for route glider flights.
Since 2001, there is also a heliport located on the site of the airport (ICAO code: LOGC). It is base to the crew of the Christophorus 14 rescue helicopter. This helibase was also used for the TV series "Die Bergretter" which tells the storie of a helicopter rescue crew in the mountain area.

Also a club hotel with a sport center, which is also operated by the Sport Union Austria, is directly located at this airport.

Our airfield LOGO

Niederöblarn - the gateway to the Alpine race track. The infrastructure of the Alps flight school offers a wide range of possibilities. From the basic school up to performance flights.

Niederöblarn, a small Styrian village situated in the heart of Austria at the base of the mountain 'Grimming', is the location of the 'Club Sport Union Alps Flight Center' with its airport "LOGO". Here everyone has the opportunity to fulfill his dream of flying. Whether gliding, sailing aerobatics, motor sailing or motor flights, everything can be learned here and later exercised.

In just three weeks, you will learn to operate a glider and after that you will be able to take controls of a glider airplane. Here you will learn how to slide through so-called "beards", which are important for soaring thermals or taking advantage of the sloping updraft from one peak to another. All at a very attractive price.

If you want to give your life wings you can do this as early as 15 years in a glider training. Or do you like "Power" under the hood? You can start your pilot career as a student motor pilot. For those who just need 'more' it is possible to board a glider in the sky "gymnastics", ie to experience aerobatic maneuvers very close.

Do you want to experience the natural bird's eye view hassle free? No Problem! Why not take a scenic flight to the most beautiful places in Austria. You can do this in a glider or motor plane to the Dachstein, Grossglockner, Salzkammergut, the Xeis or to a destination of your choice.
